After over 23 years in the healthcare industry, Carolyn combined a passion for excellent customer service with years of wedding cake design and corporate event planning to form Top Tier Events:   

"I am a self-taught wedding and 3D cake designer and have worked for over 15 years in the business, providing customers with beautiful, high quality cakes at more-than-affordable prices.  My greatest passion as a professional coordinator is to provide excellent customer service!  I love to see all of the details come together.  I have great organizational skills and a fun and easy-going personality which makes me an ideal choice for anyone looking for an event planner with both an eye for style  and precise attention to detail.  

I am a great Do-It-Yourself type person and love to be innovative, find great deals, and design beautiful, affordable creations.

Top Tier Events is proud to be part of the Top Tier Entertainment family, including Top Tier Band, Top Tier Makeup Artistry, and Top Tier Custom Songwriting.  We are a family owned and operated business serving Tennessee and the Southeast region.  

​A long time musician and songwriter, JD Dohnal runs the music and entertainment side of the business, while his wife, Carolyn, manages the event planning and makeup artistry.

Who We Are

Top Tier Events is a full-service wedding and event planning company established in 2015 in Nashville, Tennessee.

We offer custom wedding planning services, all-inclusive vendor packages, and event coordination services.  Initial consultations for all services are free and we can work within any budget.  

Our boutique-style approach means that we are dedicated to the success of your event.  We only book one event per weekend. 

Although we are located in Nashville, we can travel to out-of-town locations. Please contact us for availability.
